Had my second drawing class last night, picked up a lot more this time. We sketched still life of two bottles and a pitcher (all glass). Teaching myself to draw using the perspective glass was a big mistake, and I'm having to consciously unlearn my bad habits. All in all I was pretty pleased with what I managed to do. I need to get freer with the pencil, not overthink what I'm trying to accomplish. Came home with a headache from eye strain!

Went for a windy hour long walk today, and found another spot up on the mountain where I'd like to climb and sketch from when the weather warms up again.

Went out for a coffee after class with and had a good time chatting about anything and everything.

We're supposed to find something to draw this week and bring it to class. I can't find jackshit in the house that I a) haven't drawn already and b) want to stare at for hours. Still thinking about it. I may practice by taping paper to the wall and using my whole arm to sketch and block in various shapes.
